The UCDavis Mabie Law Library is recruiting for a full-time career Catalog and Research Services Librarian.
The Mabie Law Library is an integral part of the UC Davis School of Law, and provides services that support the teaching, research, and scholarship of its students and faculty. The Library’s collection and staff are housed in Martin Luther King Jr. Hall on the Davis campus. The Library has access to more than 10,000 databases which are provided through its library licenses, campus, and UC-wide license agreements.
The position duties are split: 50% Catalog System Oversight and Records Maintenance
50% Reference and Research Services

Qualifications:
• ABA-accredited JD and ALA-accredited MLS degree, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in using basic legal sources, both print and electronic materials.
• Demonstrated knowledge of bibliographic record principles and ILS operations.
• Relevant work experience in an academic law library or professional legal experience.
• A strong service orientation toward all library patrons with special attention to law faculty and students.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications for legal research and library systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with initiative and flexibility in order to respond effectively to changing information needs.
• Collegiality which fosters team building among librarians and staff so as to constantly improve service.
• Active participation in the intellectual and administrative life of the Law School.
