The Role:

Bloomberg Media Group is the media arm of Bloomberg LP, the global financial, data and media company. Backed by 2,400 news professionals in 150 bureaus – one of the largest news agencies in the world – Bloomberg Media covers business, technology, politics and luxury for forward-thinking business leaders. Bloomberg content is available on its own platforms as well as through distribution partners around the globe.

An exciting career opportunity exists for a seasoned media professional to launch the Strategic Content Partnership (SCP) group’s Asia division. Strategic Content Partnerships is a fast-growing group in Bloomberg Media focused on developing innovative content partnerships with companies ranging from start-ups to global media companies. The group is looking for the right individual to expand our business in Asia and assume relationships with existing Asia clients currently managed out of New York.

The SCP group leverages the many media assets of Bloomberg – with an emphasis on its digital products and magazines – to find the right partners that will expand the Bloomberg brand and generate revenue for the company. The content portfolio includes digital video, news articles, photos, and brand licenses to digital platforms and Bloomberg Businessweek magazines. The right individual has deep relationships in the media industry throughout Asia, has negotiated complex licensing agreements at senior levels and has successfully built a team in the region.



– Manage and expand the Asia business for the Strategic Content Partnership’s group
– Identify distribution partnership opportunities for Bloomberg Media content
– Structure and negotiate complex content licensing agreements
– Achieve annual revenue targets
– Work closely with legal, ad sales, editorial, product and regional leadership
– Travel to clients/prospects throughout the region a significant portion of the time and occasionally to New York City Headquarters
– Maintain regular contact with NY leadership, including off-hour meetings and phone calls



– 10-15 years experience at a media company
– A minimum of 5 years recent experience in a content licensing and distribution role
– Extensive contract negotiation skills
– Deep relationships with media companies throughout Asia
– Proven track record of leading a team to meet aggressive revenue sales targets
– A digital native well-versed in technology trends
– Experience working in a regional sales office preferred
– Additional languages a plus
– College degree required. MBA preferred
