Pfizer Sheds Discovery Request Over Covid Vax Agreement With EU

Pfizer Inc. won’t be required to produce—for use in a French lawsuit—information about discussions between its chief executive officer and the president of the European Commission regarding an agreement to produce Covid-19 vaccines for the EU member states, a federal appeals court ruled.

BonSens.org, a non-profit association of “concerned scientists, medical doctors, legal experts and citizens,” filed the underlying lawsuit in French court, seeking to nullify an indemnification clause in the advance purchase agreement entered into by Pfizer, BioNTech Manufacturing GmbH, and the European Commission.
