Penny Baily Solutions: Current Vacancy: Part-time Content Creator / Experienced Librarian (Hove/Remote)

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a part-time Content Creator to work on average 2 to 10 hours per week. The right candidate will have high-level experience of working in libraries and excellent communication skills to confidently generate informative content for our outbound marketing channels. The candidate can work from home or can be based in our Hove office and can be self-employed or employed. This is an opportunity to join our well regarded and established software business supplying library software to schools, law firms, businesses, government departments and specialist libraries across the UK, Europe and internationally.

 

Requirements:

  1. High-level experience of managing a library / information centre.
  2. Excellent communications skills, particularly writing skills.
  3. Experience of working with library management system(s).
  4. Extensive experience (10+ years) of working in the Legal, Workplace or School sector.

Ideal Skills / Attributes:

  1. Good verbal and presentation skills
  2. Social media awareness
  1. An interest in marketing or basic marketing skills – training can be provided
  2. Enthusiastic about library technology
  3. A degree or postgraduate qualification in librarianship / information studies

Job description:

  1. Writing one to two blog posts per week in collaboration with the Marketing Department.
  1. Reviewing and refining marketing messages for social media and PPC campaigns.
  2. Creating promotional materials for publication in magazines.
  3. Conducting sector research.
  4. Attending conferences to build relationships.
  5. Providing expert consultancy advice to our clients or prospects, as required.
  6. Enhancing our social media presence, especially on LinkedIn, by sharing insights, engaging in industry-related discussions, and promoting our products and services.
  7. Producing and directing engaging video content for clients and prospects, such as webinars, tutorial videos, and live Q&A sessions.
  8. Developing and delivering webinars and workshops on industry-relevant topics to educate and engage our client base and prospects.
  9. Keeping abreast of and analysing emerging trends in librarianship and the sectors we serve to ensure our offerings remain relevant.
  10. Actively engaging with the industry community online and in-person to establish and maintain thought leadership and nurture relationships.
