Pasadena Public Library Partners with LA Law Library to Provide Legal Assistance on Wednesdays

The Pasadena Public Library has announced a partnership with the LA Law Library to provide legal assistance to the public. The service, which includes help from a legal research specialist, will be available on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hastings Branch.

The LA Law Library, known for providing legal resources and reference assistance, extends its services to government employees in New Jersey. This partnership aims to make legal information more accessible to the public.

In addition to this, the New York County Public Access Law Library offers a broad base of legal resources, including cases, statutes, and legal treatises. The library emphasizes Landlord-Tenant Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Procedure, providing a comfortable environment for the public to access these resources.

The New York Public Library also contributes to this initiative by providing current access to a selection of law and legal resources. These include electronic resources such as WestlawNext and CCH Omnitax Service, as well as print resources, including Depository New York City and U.S. Federal law.

Meanwhile, the New Jersey State Library provides information on library law, including State Library Aid Law, State Library Assistance Programs General Provisions (Regulations), Per Capita State Aid (Regulations), and the Incentive Grant Program.

This collective effort by various libraries aims to make legal resources more accessible and understandable to the public, helping individuals navigate the complexities of the law.
