Gangsters riding several motorcycles opened fire on a car killing a lawyer and wounding a revenue clerk along the Indus Highway within the jurisdiction of the Bakhshapur police station of Kandhkot on Friday.
The deceased was later identified as Advocate Noor Mohammad alias Ali Mangi and the wounded clerk as Ramzan Mirani. They were on their way to Kashmore from Kandhkot when the assailants signalled them to stop the car but, sensing danger, the driver tried to speed away. The assailants fired a volley of shots at the moving car and fled the area, the police said.

Mr. Kashif Hanif Vice Chairman and Mr. Yasir Arfat Shar Chairman Executive Committee Sindh Bar Council strongly condemn the brutal murder of learned Advocate Noor Muhammad Mangi.
The Sindh Bar Council demands from the Inspector General of Police Sindh and other concerned authorities to take immediate notice, arrest the culprits and bring them to Court forthwith.
As a protest, the Sindh Bar Council announced full day strike in District Kashmore @ Kandhkot on 07.12.2024.
Learned Advocates of District Kashmore @ Kandhkot are requested not to appear before the Courts on 07.12.2024.
