Purportedly sent by out-going chief people officer Mari Ruiz-Matthyssen, the email at first appeared to be a handover to her replacement, Julie Catanach, who has yet to start at the firm.
It contained criticisms of key executives, complaints about private equity firm Allegro’s plans to “gut the place” and a spreadsheet apparently detailing the salaries, bonuses and performance ratings for 906 staff members.
