Oh How The World Has Turned – Above The Law Present Marijuana Law Conference

Unimaginable 14 months ago !  – Now they can even given it a snappy tag line – The Business Of Bud !  By 2022 we’ll have “Capitalization Of Crack Cocaine” and “IP Issues Around Psychedelics”

We can laugh now but its not to outlandish to think that in 15 years time a boutique or two could be making all their revenues around “recreational” drug legal issues

Here’s their conference outline

Legal marijuana is the fastest-growing industry in the U.S., and both attorneys and retailers are rushing to join the quickly budding cannabis business.

Whether you’re a lawyer or interested in opening a dispensary, if you’d like to get in on the ground floor of this industry, or if you’re an experienced practitioner interested in learning best practices, then we hope you will attend our upcoming marijuana law reception in Denver, Colorado on June 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Our esteemed panelists confirmed for the event include:

Hilary Bricken, Lead Attorney of Harris Moure’s Canna Law Group— Ms. Bricken was named DOPE Magazine’s Marijuana Industry Attorney of the Year in 2013.

Tom Downey, Director at Ireland Stapleton. Mr. Downey wrote the original Policies and Procedures for Denver’s legalized recreational marijuana licenses.

Sam Kamin, Professor at University of Denver Sturm College of Law
Prof. Kamin teaches a class called “Representing the Marijuana Law Client.”

Brian Ruden, Owner of Starbuds, Tree of Wellness, and Altermeds— Mr. Ruden worked as a tax attorney before becoming a “pot baron.”

This event will be a great opportunity for attendees to hear legal leaders share their insights, meet members of the Above the Law team, and network with peers. We can’t wait to see you there.
