Oct 23: Animal Law 101: A Lunch & Learn with Professor Jodi Lazare

The Student Animal Law Association of Dalhousie (SALAD) invites you to its weekly general meeting featuring a lunch and learn presentation with Jodi Lazare, Schulich Law Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Academic).

‘Animal Law 101’ will provide an introduction to the field and insights into Lazare’s Animal Law class. Animal Law is a rapidly growing field that examines the legal relationship between humans and nonhuman animals, addressing key issues such as the ethics of industrial farming, animal captivity, and the property status of animals. It also explores the legal frameworks that govern how animals are treated in various aspects of society, from our furry companions to food production and entertainment.

In addition to the presentation, SALAD members will discuss student opportunities with Animal Justice, open SALAD Executive Committee positions, and upcoming events.
