The FAR Council recently published a request for comment seeking public input on how it should consider climate change in government purchasing decisions. The sweeping request applies to providers of both goods and services and leaves the door open to a wide range of potential approaches to incorporating climate-related considerations in Federal procurement.
This program will cover the basics of how the Federal Government currently considers greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related risks in other decision making processes, current approaches adopted by voluntary organizations, and how these techniques could be applied in the Federal procurement process.
