New Jersey: Cumberland County Bar Association: Bar association hosts holiday party for underprivileged kids

The Cumberland County Bar Association held its annual Children’s Holiday Party on Saturday morning at Terrigno’s Fairfield Inn.

The association partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland County and the Bridgeton and Vineland Salvation Army branches each year to provide the event for the county’s underprivileged children.

The party included breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and each child received a present.

“We provide the children with gifts and an opportunity to meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus and to party with Frosty the Snowman and one of Santa’s Elves. We also provide a hot breakfast to the families,” explained bar association President Elizabeth Vogelsong-Parvin. “This event is extremely important to the Foundation and Association, because for some children, these are the only gifts they receive during the holiday season.

“We appreciate all the donations that help make a difference in these children’s lives and put a smile on their faces.”

The association thanked Terrigno’s Fairfield Inn owner Mike Terrigno for donating all of the food for the breakfast.
