MillerCoors LLC failed to win a new trial after a San Diego federal jury found its “Stone” rebrand of Keystone Light infringed Stone Brewing Co. LLC’s trademarks and awarded the craft brewer $56 million.
MillerCoors argued it had established prior use of the mark and that Stone had failed to prove likelihood of consumer confusion, according to court filings. District Judge Roger T. Benitez denied the motion Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of California.
