Thanks to Roll on Friday for this……
Roll On Friday reveal that Melbourne law firm Nicholas Weston (they do need to update their blog) has revealed that Harley Davidson is the trade mark most likely to be tattooed on the bottom of a young Australian.
ROF write:
Niche law firm Nicholas Weston conducted an exhaustive survey of 20 tattoo parlours in the Melbourne suburbs to ask if they had been asked to tattoo a registered trade mark or logo, which marks were the most popular and which age groups asked for them. The firm, which admits to have been “motivated by an inordinate interest in the self-mutilation of others”, says that around 2 to 5% of all tattoos are registered brands. The survey has revealed that trademark tattoos are most popular amongst the 18 to 25 year old age group – and also that each recipient was, apparently, sober at the time.
The ten most popular trademarks are:
1. Harley Davidson
2. Nike
3. AFL (Australian Rules) clubs
4. Vegemite
5. Victoria Bitter
6. Disney characters (various)
7. Clifford Chance LLP*
8. Ford
9. Fox/Alpinestars (motorcross)
10. Triple J (radio)
