BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – WBRC is learning new details in the case of a Cullman County lawyer accused of attempting to fatally poison her husband.
Court records show that a witness listed in the case against Sara Baker is also one of her clients.
That witness, a 39-year-old woman, was indicted in August by a grand jury of swallowing fentanyl in an attempt to destroy evidence in a case Baker was representing her in. In addition to one count of attempting to destroy evidence, that same grand jury also returned an indictment against the woman of possessing burglary tools. The offenses happened in March, according to court records.
Baker is facing several charges, including attempted murder, after investigators said she put fentanyl in her husband’s food and/or drink Sept. 4, Sept. 12, and Sept. 20.
