Special Counsel is seeking qualified candidates for a Law Librarian opportunity in Washington, DC. To be considered for this role, candidates should possess an MLS or MLIS and have prior reference experience. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to participating in reference desk duties, conducting individual research, cataloging collections, and managing information and records.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Preparing record-keeping systems
- Responding to inquiries
- Advising users on how best to access, use and interpret archives
- Identifying ways of protecting and preserving collections
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- MLS/MLIS degree required
- Minimum 5 years’ archival experience necessary
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
