London: Internship at Legal Publishing House for fluent Spanish Speaker

Our client is an award winning publishing house based in Notting Hill and is looking for a Graduate with fluency in Spanish to join a Research based project working alongside a Publisher and Editor helping to assess and upload data.

This is an internship lasting circa 1 month but the project is open-ended so there is definitely potential for the right candidate to stay on. A background or knowledge of competition law and experience working with data is essential for this role.

The product you will be working on is an essential daily resource for over 10,000 competition professionals worldwide, and is recognised as the world’s leading competition law and policy journal and news service. It publishes competition news with breaking news and analysis five days a week, as well as original in-depth reports, interviews and features on antitrust enforcement worldwide. They are currently expanding this product offer to include data analysis and workflow tools, and therefore need interns to help with a research project.

The project will involve reading enforcement decisions from competition agencies worldwide, and summarising and compiling the data from the decisions. You will work closely with the Publisher and Editor-at-Large to assess and upload the enforcement data.

We are looking for individuals with a good understanding of competition law and good technological competency. The research project involves a lot of data entry, but high-level and sophisticated data entry, so we need people with some experience in the field. The role will best suit students on the LLM in Competition Law course, ideally those who have recently completed the course or who are currently studying towards it and can work alongside their studies.

Fluency in Spanish is essential. You will be based in the head office in Notting Hill, west London. The position is part-time and there is flexibility on working hours. The project is open-ended and the pay rate is £10 per hour. Please send your CV for further information about this opportunity.
