Media Monitors Group announced today that Tay Tuan Kiat has been appointed General Manager for Greater China at Media Monitors SinoFile, effective 1 November 2010. Tay brings to Media Monitors extensive leadership experience in the media, business information and publishing space. In his new role, Tay will spearhead the company?s expansion into Greater China, where it currently has offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Tay will be based in Beijing.
Tay?s immediate plans are to enhance Media Monitors Sinofile suite of services through strengthening local content offerings as well as providing more integrated solutions to meet the burgeoning needs of the Greater China business community.
Prior to joining Media Monitors, Tay was General Manager, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan for Reed Elsevier?s LexisNexis, where he transformed a traditional print publisher into an industry leading brand serving a broad-based clientele.
Tay began his career with Reuters plc where he held roles in sales, marketing and business development over a ten-year period. Thereafter, he was involved in running two start-ups in Singapore invested by the 3i Asia Pacific Technology Fund. Tay has worked extensively throughout Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the National University of Singapore.
