Here’s the Xinhua report saying that Liu Xiaobo has now been formally arrested and charged with inciting the overthrow of state power.
新华社北京６月２４日电记者从北京市公安局获悉，刘晓波因涉嫌煽动颠覆国家政权罪，于２３日经检察机关批准后依法逮捕。
据公安机关侦查掌握，近年来，刘晓波以造谣、诽谤等方式煽动颠覆国家政权、推翻社会主义制度，违反了《中华人民共和国刑法》，涉嫌煽动颠覆国家政权罪，北京市公安机关依法对刘晓波立案侦查，２００９年６月２３日经检察机关批准逮捕。
经初步审查，刘晓波已对公安机关指控的犯罪事实供认不讳。
