Essentially that’s not good enough. They need to be in the 90-100% range for a reduction target by then. As we mentioned in our newsletter editorial a few weeks ago the best way to do this is make firms compete against one another or somebody needs to create an equivalent of a Chambers that ranks law firms on their emissions. That will speed up the slackers no end.

Linklaters has pledged to at least halve its global carbon emissions by 2030, as part of new targets announced by the firm on Friday.
The firm has committed to reducing emissions by between 50% and 70% across three “scopes” which form the basis of carbon emissions and energy usage reporting.
