This interesting note from Richard Des Moulins the administrator of the Linked in group Legal Technology Professionals" could be a useful pointer for legal information suppliers at a time when subscribers / clients are being lost
See his note below about the name change of the group but more importantly he now sees that he can develop a website for the group members as he is already sitting at 4,000 members and expects to grow the group to 10,000 members. All of us here ..big and small in legal information world love a subscriber base with those numbers.
HOB has started following a number of legal tech and information groups on Linked In and we must admit we’ve found the quality of discussion far superior to what we were initially expecting. We for one will be keeping a close eye on relevant Linked In groups
FYI this is his note
I hope you are keeping well and had a good weekend. I am emailing to let you know as of today, Monday 9th March, I have changed the name of the LinkedIn group "Legal Technology Professionals" to "e-LEGAL". The reason for the change is to give the group a more unique and recognizable identity on LinkedIn. The group’s purpose, rules and guidelines remain the same.
I am also in the early stages of planning a website for the group. Please let me know if there is any particular content or functionality that would be of benefit to you or your firm/company. Obviously, I can’t guarantee to include every one’s requests but I would like to identify the most popular ones.
The group now has over 4,000 members and I am aiming to bring this up to 10,000 as soon as possible. Please feel free to encourage any co-workers or friends who work in the Legal IT sector to join.
