This talk took place on Zoom on Wednesday 2 December 2020. The lecture covers:

2. What are the consequences of UK law being categorised as “retained EU law”?

3. How must the courts apply retained EU law (in particular EU general principles) post 31 December 2020;

4. What happen to the principle of “sympathetic construction” post 31 December 2020?

The material from the talk is taken from a chapter of a book on Brexit to be published by Bloomsbury Press in February 2021 and also for a chapter in Wade & Forsyth “Administrative Law” (to be published by OUP) also in 2021.
