Found this page on the Lexis Nexis website – it’s amazing that they’ll give another 30K to a lawyer or legal; acadaemic rather than use that money to start training a proper legal editor or publisher who could give them a raft of titles or concepts to take the business into the next decade
Here’s the page url?? http://www.lexisnexis.com.au/en-au/publishing-opportunities.page

Instead of searching for “thought leaders”? whatever they may be we suggest …. develop your own IP in house.
?
Giving a cash prize to a lawyer or academic is in our book a complete waste of time. Why not start training editors and publishers again? and have people inhouse who have more great ideas than LN could actually publish .
?
We suggest then that these individuals could be outsourced to the legal industry? to help firms, agencies etc etc make their legal based publications better
?
Instead LN will hand over 30K to a “winner” take all the publishing rights from that author / innovator and thus piss off yet another individual their colleagues and maybe even the firm or institution they work for.
?
Is this really long term planning?
?
This is what they say…
