The national transition from legacy LexisNexis Academic to its completely reengineered successor Nexis Uni™ is now under way, and all UC campuses are among the first wave of migrating subscribers with IP-based access to Uni already activated. UC retains dual access to Academic and Uni through October 1, 2017 after which the former will be deactivated across the system.
The Nexis Uni experience begins with a greatly enhanced interface. According to the Nexis Uni Overview [PDF] & FAQ [PDF], the new product incorporates a big search box that handles either natural language or complex Boolean searches across the entire content collection, making it an ideal tool for novice and advanced
