Lexis Nexis are now champions of human rights round the world !? Yes; it is sort of comendable that they are sponsoring this film called “Holly” in Canada which investigates human trafficking and the exploitation of children in the absence of Rule of Law.? The press says ….LexisNexis is a sponsor of the film and its producers.

We presume the marketing and PR people said that this was a good way to show a positive side to the company.
Think again though … they are desperately trying to claw revenue back in China? and so as far as we are aware we haven’t seen any public announcements on dissident lawyers there.? And God knows there are enough of them suffering in China at the moment simply for highlighting the things lawyers are meant to highlight.
We presume the Vietnam market it is so small it doesn’t matter if a few people in power get upset.
Orwell might have called this doublespeak..we just call it bogus .
Guys .. if you get involved in saying you champion human rights it’s about time to defend those many many lawyer dissidents out there.. not just in China but around the world.
