Position

The Legal Researcher – Trademark and Copyright is an integral member of the data team. Using domain expertise in trademark and copyright law and civil procedure, the data team member will provide high value additional legal data coding for cases, maintain current datasets and devise ongoing improvements to the legal data coding. In-office or work-from-home are both options.

Responsibilities

?Applytrademark and copyright legal data coding schemas for new cases as Lex Machina expands its case coverage

?Maintain and improve legal data coding for cases filed as Trademark and Copyright.

Some of the things we’re looking for

?2years experience analyzing legal data

?Subject matter knowledge for trademark and copyright litigation (coursework, practice experience, other self-study)

?Someone who has worked in a startup environment

?Lawdegree (i.e. a JD or LLB)
