About Us: Looking for a non-traditional legal position that still lets you use your law degree? Matador Solutions is looking to add a Director of Content with legal experience to join our quickly growing SEO company that specializes in providing quality service to lawyers, medical professionals, and other small businesses. In addition to our SEO services, which include content creation, code optimization, and much more, we also provide several other services, from web development to podcast recording. With a laid back atmosphere and hybrid remote schedule, Matador Solutions offers the perfect change of pace for a driven person looking to switch things up.

About the Role: The Director of Content is responsible for managing our editorial team of roughly 25 contractors to ensure timely delivery of content for our clients. You will work within an editorial calendar to assign writers and publishers, review content to verify our SOPs are being met, and send content reports to clients. To do this effectively, the Director of Content must have a keen understanding of SEO and work closely with the rest of the team to align with the big picture of each client’s marketing strategy.

In addition to managing the editorial calendar, the Director of Content has the following responsibilities:

  • Participating in team meetings to discuss marketing strategies, SEO developments, and other items
  • Other managerial/HR-related tasks, including reviewing invoices and timesheets

As need arises, this position will also act as Assistant General Counsel, tackling the following tasks:

  • Handling intellectual property disputes, such as copyright infringement or trademark violations
  • Maintaining business licenses and insurance
  • Renewing business trademarks

  • Experience with WordPress content publishing required
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at varying levels of difficulty and with varying timelines
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including time management and prioritization, and ability to grow leadership responsibilities
