Our client seek a sole in-house Senior Legal Counsel for the following responsibilities :
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.???????????? Negotiate, draft and review various contractual commercial documents in BIMCO forms. Provide advisory to Management.
2.???????????? Set up and develop process for standard legal templates and documents
3.???????????? Act as an internal contact point for Company on all legal matters, as well as liaise with external? lawyers, law firms and government bodies.
4.???????????? Providing legal advice on the overall business and operational matters for corporate, commercial, insurance and marine issues.
5.???????????? Exposure and able to manage, lead marine as well as general litigation and dispute resolution, ship arrest, in rem actions regionally and internationally in different jurisdictions
6????????????? Ensuring all Company?s businesses are in legal and statutory compliance, complying with all laws, rules and regulations of the regulatory authorities in different countries.
6.???????????? Assist in company secretarial matters.
7.???????????? Knowledge and able to manage marine insurance claims and warranties
8.???????????? Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by Management
REQUIREMENTS
a.???????????? Qualified lawyer admitted in Singapore or commonwealth jurisdiction.
b.???????????? Minimum 5-8 years PQE
c.???????????? Candidates in marine industry or from a legal Firm advising companies in similar industry preferred
c.???????????? Regional exposure / experiences in APAC and/or MEA is advantageous.
d.???????????? Litigation experience in ship arrest and in rem actions preferred
e.???????????? Good and excellent communication skills, business acumen, inter personal skills.
