Here’s the story
The first Peruvian consulting firm specialized in legal marketing and communications, one of the few in Latin America, has been launched by Lorena Borgo and Walter Cobos, both lawyers with more than 15 years of professional experience in different areas.
Borgo and Cobos have decided to join forces to fill a void in Peruvian legal market, founding Lextop in September.
Lextop comes as a new and fresh proposal for positioning or re-launching a firm, business development and presence in legal directories and guides. It is exclusively aimed at lawyers, law firm’s partners, legal managers, general counsel and notaries, who seek to develop and improve the performance of their legal services business.
Aside from being lawyers, Borgo and Cobos have complementary profiles as the first is passionate about journalism and press relations and the second is a top-notch expert in new technologies and social networks. “Our main differentiating aspect is that Lextop is handled by lawyers for lawyers, which facilitates the understanding and intuition of the needs, concerns and worries, way of working and communication style,” said Cobos.
Borgo adds, “Our dream is to position ourselves as leading consultants in communications and business development for lawyers in Peru and Latin America.”
The legal marketing and communications market has been developing in recent years in Latin America. Some traditional firms are still averse to setting up marketing and business development initiatives but we think it´s a matter of time. We will probably see other specialized advisors arise in the forthcoming years, in the meantime let’s keep an eye on how legal market reacts to this launch.
