The Boston University Law Library has an open position for a Legal Information Librarian or Senior Legal Information Librarian with an interest or background in international legal research. The librarian in this position works with international law faculty, supports the BU International Law Journal, teaches a 2-credit International Legal Research class, teaches FCIL themed classes in the certification program, assists the Associate Director for Research & Instruction coaching the BU Jessup Team, serves as library liaison to the LLM in American Law Program, and selects materials for the collection in the area of international law. Legal Information Librarians also teach in the 1L Lawyering Program and the LLM Research & Writing Program, staff the reference desk, and create and maintain research guides. The Legal Information department is a congenial & dynamic environment consisting of 5 professional librarians and the Associate Director for Research & Instruction. A librarian in this position would have the ability to learn the FCIL concentration on the job and work with an experienced FCIL librarian.

A J.D. and a Masters in Information or Library Science from accredited programs are required. Candidates with more than three years of academic law library reference experience may be considered at the Senior level. The position requires someone with a strong service orientation, instructional skills, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
