Legal Counsel – China – Innovative Technology Company*
Our client, well known for their innovation and quality, designs personal equipment for a vast array of communications products and is the market leaders in many sectors.
Their products are sold in nearly every part of the globe and the APAC legal team is looking for an additional lawyer to join the APAC legal team and focus on China in a newly created position.
The ideal candidate will already be based in Shanghai and have extensive experience and understanding of handling legal and business issues in Asia. Applicants will have experience of general corporate commercial matters, including licensing, distribution, marketing and sales agreements.
Experience in employment, property, regulatory and managing litigation would also be beneficial. Fluent Mandarin language skills are essential and whilst this role will focus on China, the individual will also get the opportunity to work on matters throughout the Asia Pacific region. You will report to the Asia Legal Director based in Hong Kong.
Our client will consider lawyers from both in-house and private practice and this would be an excellent first in-house position for the right lawyer. You must have top tier international experience and a stellar academic background. A commonlaw qualification, or similar is required.
