Job Description
A rare and outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT lawyer to join the Asia Pacific & Japan Legal Team.
The role will be based in North Sydney or Singapore and you will report to the Chief Counsel ? Asia Pacific & Japan. You will be responsible for the following:
drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of IT and commercial contracts;
providing counsel on intellectual property matters;
providing education to internal organizations (especially sales and professional services) regarding company contracting policies and other emerging legal issues;
advising on and assisting with the management of all corporate law matters across the region; and
assisting with ethics and compliance matters.

You will have 5+ years post admission experience, gained in a reputable firm. In-house experience obtained in an IT company will be highly regarded (is IT a must or preferred only, if preferred only, we may reword it as ? experience obtained in an MNC,? preferrbaly with IT company) as will any legal experience gained working in the Asia Pacific region (any knowledge of specific countries preferred?). The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a strong commercial focus.? (do you need to include any professional legal qualification or education background?)
