Two law professors won a $5.1 million defamation suit claiming their reputations were damaged when West Publishing falsely identified them as the authors of a poorly researched treatise update.

This has long been a complaint of Legal KM’s and librarians worldwide. The fact that the authors themselves have little to do with updates, re -edits etc.
