Library and Student Services (LASS) provide support and services to academics, researchers and students. LASS operates online and via a physical presence in eight locations across four campuses. This position will be primarily based in the University’s Law Library.

In the role you will:

  • Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate high quality services, programs and support to meet the identified needs of specific groups within the research community.
  • Design and deliver services and training programs to support research and research impact including data management and bibliometrics.
  • Develop relevant collections by liaising with academics and researchers to identify resources for subject collections.
  • Provide expert advice and support to researchers on best practice and emerging trends in scholarly communication.
  • Assist with researchers’ fulfilment of funder and institutional requirements for the management and communication of research outputs.

You will be employed on a full-time, ongoing basis.

To be considered, you will have:

  • Professional library qualification, professional librarian experience and eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to effective, outcome-focused teamwork and to provide peer support in a team environment.
  • A record of eliciting the needs of clients and addressing these through the provision of relevant scholarly collections and Library services aligned with research priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and train large and small groups in blended learning environments.
  • Well-developed understanding of the research process and issues relevant to the researchers in the current higher education research environment.
  • Have a working knowledge of legal resources, in order to provide specialised services to the Law Faculty within the College of Arts, Law and Education.

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $95,962 comprising base salary within the range of $75,022 to $ 82,019 plus 17% superannuation.
