Law Librarian Addison Group Washington, DC

Our client is seeking an experienced Law Librarian that can manage and maintain legal information to help support their litigation team at a national law firm. The candidate will help individuals with legal questions when needed and provide knowledge to help support research projects. We are looking for someone with a master’s degree from an accredited library science program with a demonstrated knowledge of Washington DC legal resources.

Responsibilities:
Manage library budgets
Allocating, organizing, and disseminating legal resources
Provide a comprehensive legal reference and information research services to legislative attorneys and congressional clients
Implement search techniques and files for handling specific types of requests for information, examining publications, electronic resources, and trends in a broad range of areas
Assist with the creation and maintenance of databases, webpages, collaborative tools, and other information systems
Training lawyers, students, and staff on the use of internet- based legal research programs
Cataloging procedures

Qualification:
Master’s degree in law library science
Committed to professional ethics and continuous learning
Legal research instruction
Business development knowledge
Data analysis
Ability to work collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment
