Overview:

Firm Librarian needed in our Fort Lauderdale office. We are seeking an experienced Librarian to provide research services for the firm’s attorneys and staff nationwide. The ideal candidate is required to have law firm experience and excellent research skills, utilizing print and electronic resources. MLS from an accredited institution is preferred along with proficiency in Westlaw, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, Cheetah, and PACER. Is this the opportunity for you? Please see below for more information!

Your Firm Librarian Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support lawyers and staff in utilizing the Firm’s collection of research tools, providing instruction and guidance as needed.
  • Conduct public records research: locating people, assets and personal histories
  • Identify resources and develop research strategies for associates, staff attorneys, summer associates, and paralegals.
  • Support attorneys with litigation spotting, issue tracking and case monitoring using automated and conventional resources
  • Train and instruct attorneys and staff with structured training modules and one-to-one support
  • Work with practice group leaders to identify needs, evaluate potential new resources, and assess existing holdings
  • Provide quick reference and in-depth research services in all practice areas and for all offices. Business (non-legal) and legal research will be required.
  • Create and manage litigation alerts, docket tracks, and news alerts.
  • Assist with analyzing print and electronic legal content collection, including review of purchase requests and recommending cancellations.
  • Track CLE requirements for attorneys and manage the Firm’s CLE database.
  • Oversee Bar renewal process, reminders and payments

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
