Silicon Valley news has reported that local law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati may soon be losing CEO John Roos, who Japanese media reports say has been chosen as the U.S. ambassador to that country.
Roos, 54, hasn’t officially been named and no statement has been issued by the Palo Alto firm.
He raised funds and campaigned for President Barack Obama last year along with his wife, Susie, who is a labor lawyer.
Roos graduated from Stanford University and its law school and has been CEO at Wilson Sonsini since 2005. He became a partner there in 1988.
