Herbert Smith Singapore has promoted Lewis McDonald to partnership in order to bolster its growing energy practice in Southeast Asia.? Herbies also added new faces to its associate ranks, including senior associate Alex Moray, junior associate Vishal Devraj, energy specialist Jessica Harris and Choongo Moonga.
K&L Gates has added capital markets lawyer Brian Wessol to its fast-growing Singapore office. Wesol, who specializes in global equity offerings debt and exchangeable securities issues, comes to the firm from Jones Day?s Singapore.? Wesol is a South East Asia specialist, having also spent time at White & Case in London, Indonesia and Singapore. He has worked on numerous high profile deals, including representing? Bumi Resources in two convertible bond offerings, a high yield bond offering and a 1.9 billion dollar loan from China Investment Corporation in 2009.? Gates now will have four partners in the Singapore office.
