Knowledge and Information Officer – Bristol (UK) Law Firm

A top UK law firm has a vacancy for a Knowledge and Information Officer to be based in their Bristol office. Candidates will also be considered for the role who would like to work from their London, south east or west midlands offices.

Working as part of a growing Knowledge and Information team, you will contribute to the development, implementation and promotion of the firm’s knowledge sharing capability and strategy. Specifics include:

·        carrying out legal research using online and hard copy resources

·        delivering inductions and sessions on knowledge sharing

·        overseeing acquisitions and cataloguing

·        budget monitoring

·        developing administrative and document procedures

·        supporting and delivering knowledge sharing initiatives

·        maintaining know how system and intranet pages

·        maintaining and publishing precedents and know how

·        supporting the firm’s various intranet groups and forums and representing the knowledge team at meetings

·        maintaining the firm’s online directory

To be considered for this role applicants should have:

·        A degree or equivalent, preferably within library/information management/knowledge management

·        understanding of knowledge and information management principles and practices

·        significant experience of working in a law firm or commercial information service

·        strong organisational, communication and accuracy skills

·        the ability to work well under pressure and flexibly as part of a team
