With the help of Ruth Bird Justis have presented their inaugural   “Academy”

Once again here’s the press release…..

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our very first Justis Academy earlier this week.

In case you missed it, the Academy is a half-day course in practical legal research skills delivered in partnership with Ruth Bird, former Bodleian Law Librarian at the University of Oxford, and Emily Allbon, creator of Lawbore and Senior Lecturer at the City University London).

Here’s what our attendees had to say:

“It was extremely useful and informative. The course provided information which I was unaware of, for example, sources and methods of research. Also you provide external activities which is extremely useful to myself and others.” – Uzma Zainab Mahmood, University of Leicester, Law LLB, 2nd Year

“Good grounding in the fundamentals! Would be really useful for law library desk staff.” – Robert Hodgson, City University of London, Law Librarian

“Very informative and a great refresher course.” – Oladoke J. Oladiran, University of Greenwich, LLB Law, Final Year Student

“Useful refresh and insight into what might be expected of you when working in a legal career. Helps build on skills listed on CV’s when applying for jobs.” – Minah Shah, University of Leicester Law LLB with criminology, Graduate
