The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s ongoing civil fraud trial issued another gag order on Friday — this time prohibiting all lawyers working on the trial from “from making any public statements, in or out of court, that refer to any confidential communications, in any form, between my staff and me.”
The judge, Justice Arthur Engoron, said in a three–page court filing that he issued the gag order to protect his court staff, noting that since the start of the trial, “my chambers have been inundated with hundreds of harassing and threatening phone calls, voicemails, emails, letters and packages.”
