Jimi Hendrix’s Brother Owes $400,000 for Trademark Infringement

Jimi Hendrix’s brother should pay at least $400,000 to the successors of the Hendrix estate for using Hendrix copyrights and trademarks without permission, a magistrate judge in New York recommended Wednesday.

Andrew Pitsicalis, Leon Hendrix’s business partner, has already agreed to settle Experience Hendrix LLC and Authentic Hendrix LLC’s claims for $2 million.

The companies, owned and operated by other members of the Hendrix family, own the intellectual property Pitsicalis and Leon Hendrix used to manufacture, advertise, and sell Jimi Hendrix-themed merchandise.
