Here’s the PR

Davis’ significant expertise in project finance, PPP/infrastructure projects, M&A, energy and natural resources, together with the Takahashi group’s market-leading banking, finance and capital markets practices, provide a winning combination for both domestic and international businesses.

Tokyo Managing Partner Tony McArthur says, “More and more Japanese businesses are looking to acquisitions across Asia and North and South America, particularly in the infrastructure, energy and natural resources sectors, and the new Davis team is well placed to support this advance.”

“This is an important day in the firm’s almost 70 year relationship with Japan,” says the firm’s Managing Partner, Robert Seidel, Q.C. “The addition of Mr. Takahashi and his team enhances our effectiveness in advising clients both wishing to do business in and with Japan, and those looking to overseas markets from a base in Japan.”

Hiroaki Takahashi says, “I have a long standing relationship with Davis and have great respect for its expertise. With our new team we are uniquely positioned to support both domestic and international businesses in Japan and abroad.” As is required under Japanese regulations, in Japan the new joint enterprise will be known officially as Davis & Takahashi in English and Takahashi & Davis in Japanese, reflecting the combined capabilities and expertise of the two teams.
