An Istanbul court on Sunday ruled against formally arresting opposition mayor Ekrem Imamoglu in a “terror” probe, while maintaining his detention over a graft investigation, his lawyer and a municipal source told AFP.
The 53-year-old was detained on Wednesday in connection with both probes, sparking four days of massive protests in Turkey’s worst unrest in over a decade.
