Additional role! An international law firm requires an Innovation Technologist to manage projects and tasks in direct response to business needs within the firm. Knowledge and Innovation Technology have a crucial part to play at every stage of the client journey, from pre-pitch stage through to client relationship development and each has the potential to enhance the firm’s reputation in a highly competitive market. The firm’s use of Innovation Technology, including document automation, artificial intelligence, and client collaboration tools help streamline legal service delivery and improve client experience. The technology within this area currently includes Contract Express, DocuSign, Luminance, and HighQ. This exciting role will suit a highly credible individual with the ability to inspire confidence at every level of the business with a proven track record in delivering technical solutions, preferably within a law firm or similar environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Act as first line contact for users should they need assistance with day-to-day technology queries
  • Promote, grow and support usage of all of Innovation Technology and, in particular, the use of HighQ
  • A strong and enthusiastic advocate for the use of Innovation Technology developing clear processes for the introduction and embedding of Innovation Technology in new areas
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the firm ensuring value from existing software
  • Monitoring the market for new tools and developments, and contributing to discussions on future investment
  • Work collaboratively with Learning & Development and the Innovation Technology Lead to develop training around Innovation Technology for lawyers and others in the firm
  • Work collaboratively with IT to develop practical solutions for internal (and client facing) business issues

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Experience and proficiency in the use of HighQ and other Innovation Technology (for example DocuSign, AI)
  • Knowledge of Contract Express an advantage
  • A clear aptitude for working with new and emerging technologies
  • Experience in managing and delivering projects
  • Previous experience in a legal or innovation technology role or project management role within a law firm
  • The ability to develop a deep understanding of how lawyers work in order to advise on how Innovation Technology can improve existing processes or client experience
  • A proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach
  • A collaborative worker with the ability to identify and influence key stakeholders and to form and develop own networks
  • A positive with the ability to articulate the potential that Innovation Technology can bring to all areas of the business
  • A strong communicator who can build relationships, clearly articulating and explaining legal and innovation technology solutions benefits in non-technical terms
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and complete simultaneous tasks and projects
