We are handling a new Information Officer role with a top ranking global law firm. Working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will assist in the provision of a wide range of library and information services firm-wide. Specifics of the role include:
· handling business and legal enquiries and providing a research service to staff and fee earners
· providing a comprehensive current awareness service on a range of topics
· delivering training sessions and inductions to new joiners and other staff
· assisting with business development initiatives
· procuring and cataloguing new titles
· processing invoices
· updating the intranet using SharePoint
· project work as required
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
· experience of working in the legal sector or within professional services
· a degree or equivalent (within Library and Information Management would be advantageous)
· enthusiasm with a strong customer service attitude
· excellent written and verbal communication skills
· the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
· knowledge of legal databases and library management systems
Occasional travel to other UK offices will be required
