Award winning! A global legal business requires an Information Officer which sits within the Legal Research function of the Knowledge Services team. The primary function is to support the enquiry and current awareness activities of the Knowledge Services team. To provide non interpretive legal and commercial research both internally and externally. The successful applicant will also promote business partnering and client development support through current awareness activity to key practice areas and sectors within the wider organisation. Can be based in any of the following locations: Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, or Edinburgh –Agile working also offered.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Provision of legal research enquiry services using commercial online sources, working as part of a wider team
- Delivery of the following services: online resource housekeeping, training materials including conducting adhoc training sessions on key legal research resources
- Collation and ongoing development, of regular, targeted current awareness services, internally through a series of email alerts and bulletins and externally through support to Practice Group contacts
- Act as Business Partner with assigned Practice Groups and Sectors to develop the Practice Group / Knowledge Services relationship in order to provide additional support and be pro-active in the services offered
- Work with team members to promote expertise and build relationships with internal and external clients
To be considered for this role you must have the following skills and experience:
- An information related qualification
- Previous experience gained from a law firm
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Experience of online resources
- Strong communication skills
- This role covers a support period of 8am-6pm (time tabled shift pattern)
