Karnataka will continue its crackdown on online games that involve betting regardless of whether the operator is from India or from a foreign country, home minister Araga Jnanendra said.
“The law applies to all. We will not discriminate whether the law breaker is an Indian or a foreign gaming company,” the minister told ET, adding no one can escape from the long arms of the state’s law.
His comments came in response to grievances from sections of Indian gaming firms that a few offshore operators were getting away flouting the state’s new law while Indian players have complied with it.
