Fast growing small boutique Immigration & Criminal Defense law office, seeks legal blog writer. We have provided the immigration community with a full spectrum of immigration legal services including representation in family based petitions, deportation/removal defense, naturalization and appeals. We also defend non-citizens in criminal proceedings. The diversity of our clients’ backgrounds and legal issues creates an exciting, stimulating and satisfying environment. This office consists of two attorneys, seven legal assistants, and one mellow French Bulldog (Bacon).
ABOUT THE JOB
Assist the attorneys with blog research and writing on various topics related to immigration law. Also handle admin tasks and other writing projects (will train).
ABOUT YOU:
Writing and editing-whiz. You can clearly express ideas in your writing and spot grammatical errors in documents. Strong writing and editing skills are essential.
Creative thinker who is adaptable to change and flexible work flow
A self-starter approach.
The ability to learn quickly and to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
An ability to decipher, simplify, understand, and explain complex concepts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
Preferred Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Degree from a 4-year college or university (recent college graduates encouraged to apply). Perfect for part-time law students
PAY
$12.50/hour
No benefits
Full-time/part-time employment where you will be eligible for $1 raise every 9 months.
Monday through Thursdays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
