It can’t be denied but covid, masks & vaccines appear to have sent some lawyers apoplectic with an inner rage.
We thought it might be a bit of fun to name our top ten.
It goes without saying that the one thing that joins them all together is their gender, bar one.
We have no particular order to the top 10.
They come as they are served, although I think we can all agree that No.1 deservedly sits above his “colleagues”.
Rudy Giuliani (USA)
Where does one start with Rudy. He’s said so many bonkers things over the last 4 years it is impossible to keep up. He ran around the country testing his mettle against COVID and lost and then told MNSBC.
“I Got Special Covid Treatment Because I’m A ‘Celebrity”
And the now famous coughing interview whilst having a go at Biden for wearing a mask
Steve Little (USA)
Steve Little a lawyer from North Dakota wrote a letter to Trump mid 2020 about his copper coating solution to Covid after seeing a PBS documentary a few years back.
KX News reported the story here
Obviously his solution didn’t work as this is what we currently see on his website!
Nathan Buckley, Partner of G&B lawyers (Australia)
In July 2020, Buckley offered “free legal advice” to residents from Melbourne to not wear a mask, collect the $200 fine and “elect to have it determined in court”. He added that if “every single one” of the residents challenged the fines, the government “will not fight you in court” because it would be far too expensive for them.
Then he decided to get into a fight with the Law Society after they suggested that his childish comments had brought the profession into disrepute. Nathan, unsurprisingly, tells us he’s excellent at everything at the G&B website
Buckley says things like .. “The NSW Law Society is trying to come after me for telling the truth. I will not be silenced.” and “There is another lawyer in Sydney who has the same name as me. He had a cry about what I am doing,”
Una McGurk (Ireland)
The Irish justice minister had to ask the International Protection Appeals Tribunal (Ipat) to examine if one of its members breached its code of conduct by attending an anti-lockdown protest.
Una McGurk, a senior counsel and state appointee to Ipat, spoke at a rally in Dublin organised by Health Freedom Ireland and Yellow Vests Ireland. At the demonstration, which attracted crowds of several hundred people, she said the wearing of face masks, which is required by law in a number of indoor settings in Ireland, should be a choice and not a requirement. This is what she said in a video later in the year….
Pierre Ciric (NYC & France)
Pierre does have a point but we’ll pick on him because he’s French!

First up we’ll give Cadonau his due he has actually apologised to all and sundry and especially Portland mayor Ted Wheeler for being a pest and essentially said he was acting like an idiot.
Man Pestering Portland (OR) Mayor Ted Wheeler & Then Peppersprayed Mayor .. Is Of Course A Lawyer
We cheered inside when we saw the story yesterday about Ted Wheeler’s reaction to this pest as Wheeler tried to quietly eat a meal. It come out in the wash today that this poor downtrodden individual is not only an heir to a local dairy AlpenRose he is lawyer too.

Warning for workers as Melbourne office coronavirus cluster grows
Channel 7 News reported on this Melbourne firm and their erstwhile leader when the city was in the middle of the Australia worst covid outbreak
Businesses have been told they should still allow staff to work remotely, as packed offices increase the risk of spreading coronavirus. It comes after the Victorian health department labelled a COVID-19 cluster at a Melbourne law firm a “key outbreak”. On Thursday six coronavirus cases were linked to HWL Ebsworth’s Collins Street office and two floors of the building were closed for deep cleaning earlier this week. The nation’s largest legal partnership in March told the Financial Review it would assess its workers’ requests to work from home on a case-by-case basis, but preferred workers stayed in the office. HWL Ebsworth managing partner Juan Martinez said the firm “had no intention of blindly following the lead of others like a lemming” when it came to working from home. The firm has since changed its tune.
Jonathan Lea (UK)
This head of a UK law firm is so sceptical of the Covid pandemic that he recently stuck up a sign on his firm’s front door banning anyone who entered from wearing a mask.
In an open letter to Boris Johnson he actually said…
It’s been weeks now that I’ve seen restaurants and pubs packed with maskless oldies happily socialising. Where are the dead grannies?!?!”

Tom Winslow – Goldfinch Winslow (USA)
Attorney argues mask ordinances may be illegal
Tom Winslow an attorney at Goldfinch Winslow Law Firm, and while he cannot expressly point to a right listed in the Constitution to back the aforementioned claim, he does say local ordinances requiring masks run into the issue of preemption.
“There are liability risks for forcing someone wearing a mask and not wearing a mask,” Winslow said.
