Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice for BOCI with a particular focus in covering the private equity division on all of its principal investment and establishment and management of its private equity funds, such as terms negotiations, document review, mandate drafting, and advisory work on all of its related projects;
- Review and advise on the legal aspect of investment and business proposals to senior management;
- Review and monitor internal policies and procedures;
- Coordinate the work with external legal counsel; and
- Such other duties as shall from time to time be directed by your superiors
Requirements:
- A common law qualified lawyer with at least 6 years gained in the area of private equity and M&A
- Solid legal knowledge and experience in handling private equity and M&A transactions, preferably in the Greater China region
- International law firm experience preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as to communiate with internal stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, ability to communicate in Putonghua preferred
